The game Tetris Classic was released 6 years after the birth of the great opus of Alexei Pajitnov. With modern (at the time) technology and the time-tested concept of Tetris on hand, the developers of this game (Spectrum Holobyte) should have made a worthy re-release of the classic. And in principle, they succeeded.

The rules of the game have remained inviolable: we still have to fill the field with blocks of various shapes. Blocks can be rotated to make them easier to fit into the current structure. If at any height we manage to make a continuous horizontal line of blocks, it will immediately be erased, and we will get points. This is the sacred meaning of the game: build and break, break and build.

In addition to the classic single player game, Tetris Classic has several game modes for two players:
  • Cooperative Mode - build and erase blocks together with a friend in one wide field. Each player has a block that he controls. The more coherent and friendly the team is, the better the construction will be.
  • Competitive Mode - the essence of the game is that you need to complete the construction of the next line before your opponent. The one who erases the lines in this game gets the points. Each player has his own block, which he can deploy and move.
  • Dual Pit Mode - both players have their own "glass", so in this mode everything is much calmer - everyone fills his field the way he wants.
