War theater - a map of the Crimean peninsula with relief elements. On it, using the available mission editor, you can play military conflicts with the participation of several belligerent parties: Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, the United States, using the entire spectrum of combat interaction with non-aviation military equipment (for example, air defense) ground and sea based in missions. There are quite a few types of aircraft alone, not to mention ships, air defense and ground equipment. In addition to editing missions, you can also record videos of the passage in your own * .trk format (for playing in the game). It is possible to change weather conditions, visibility, crosswind, time of day. After the mission - a very detailed debriefing. Based on the results of the post-briefing and especially the filmed video, you can always calculate the plane, the pilot of which still managed to knock out your "native" bird. You can, in this case, replay, and at the right moment, with a sharp turn of Immelman, turn 180 degrees and…. "Bang ... on him, and then another like this .. bang ... !!!!" - in general, pay tribute to the enemy with a salvo of a pair of R-77 missiles in the forehead: this reduces the likelihood that this time the post-briefing will again contain a mournful line about who shot you down.

And now about the main thing - about the simulation. Yes, dear fans of the 3D-shooter genre, with the controls in this game you will fundamentally encounter "minor" difficulties, although in my personal opinion, in this flight simulator the controls are arranged quite conveniently and optimally. By the way, it is necessary to very clearly distinguish the line between three entities: a professional plane simulator, a game flight simulator and a three-dimensional arcade, which, due to someone's very serious miscalculation, also sometimes proudly calls itself “flight simulator”, recalling the anecdotal link “donkey-> stallion”. In a game flight simulator, of course, there should be as complete, detailed, functional aerodynamic model as possible, a model of the control scheme and technical interaction of aircraft parts: landing gear, flap extension angle, malfunctions of individual systems, jammers and others. But there should not be such that, to start the engines, it was necessary to constantly do two dozen monotonous actions (MS Flight Simulator and the like ...), just like according to the Airplane Flight Manual. That is, functionality to the maximum, but the chains of sequential non-branching actions are reduced as much as possible to one key combination - and we have just a game flight simulator. If there are only 4 “arrows”, a space and Enter in the controls - well then, excuse me, this is no longer a simulator, but an ordinary arcade 3D game, a striking example of such a product is the F22 Lightning II. But let's not go aside ...

The Su-27 Flanker has a clear dependence of the controllability of the aircraft on its speed. When flying at a speed of less than 200 km / h, a complete loss of control begins, and with the presence of asymmetric thrust, it easily stalls into a spin. Although with a symmetrical thrust, in order to fall into a spin, you still need to try: large angles of attack, a sharp drop in speed, or some kind of protracted lateral maneuver with a large roll angle. Well, what a warning system developed in the game, and what an indication of the failure of various systems! The most memorable, once it happened: it happened to return to one of the aerial combat wounded (several indicators of damage to the systems are on) and already descend on the glide path with the engines turned off, since the fuel was completely consumed in afterburner modes. The range of missions is striking: both air combat and suppression of air defense forces, destruction of enemy airfields (the most epic type of mission is my favorite), point bombing and anti-ship missions. The effects of overloads have been simulated. Positive overload - darkening in the eyes, and in several gradations, negative overload - redness (I don’t know, not an expert to judge the color aspects of the adequacy of this effect).
