Compared to the first version of the game, the speaker graphics are clearer and more mobile. Attention to detail is still present, but now everything looks a little better. Of course, the first version of the game was not so graphically perfect as to limit itself to only small improvements when moving to Project Phantasma, which is not only amazingly beautiful, but also fully functional. Different speakers are easily distinguished from each other, the natural colors of the battlefield are a great backdrop for colorful explosions, which are plentiful in the game. The game spaces of the speakers are made with polygonal graphics, so the images are completely 3D and very mobile. The sounds of gunfire and explosions are very good. Realism is added by voices that transmit messages. They cut through the noise and interference and create the effect of dialogue on the radio. The musical accompaniment is made in the style of techno-pop which is perfect for this game. The melodies are attractive, easy to remember and boost morale.
As soon as you start playing, you understand that controlling the mechanisms is very simple and convenient. AU is basically similar to the previous version, but otherwise framed and supplemented by new battles that you have to win. After loading the game, you are provided with an automatically renewed menu system. Menu items: garage, shop, game space, mail and mission completion. The first thing you want to do is go into the garage and get acquainted with the capabilities of the speakers. Each main component on your speaker can be improved: head, body, arms and legs, weapons, engine, aiming system, etc. You start the game with a fairly average speaker, a certain amount of money and a dream of wealth and glory. In the garage, you can change the color and model of your speaker, create a logo (or choose from the group presented) and check your speaker to see how combat-ready it is.
Speaker components can be bought and sold at the store. There is an optimal combination of components from which you will design your dream speakers. We draw your attention to the fact that not all components are well suited to each other, and when you finish assembling the speakers, you may find that your brainchild is not working. Design your speakers carefully, trying not to put unnecessary components, this will save your money.
Training missions are a great opportunity to get used to managing. Each button on the PlayStation joystick is used, and the sooner you remember the button layout, the more chances you have to win. A little unusual at first the control after a while becomes your second nature. The relationship between control and what is happening on the screen is excellent, which is important, since the game does not stop for a second.
If you think you're ready, then it's time for your first assignment. In the "Tasks" option you will be informed about what awaits you. The game has 17 different tasks. There are different types of tasks: find and destroy, protect, destroy everything, rescue operations. For the performance of each task, a certain amount is given, as well as a bonus to the player who managed to impress the corporation. The money you receive is not a net profit, because during each task your speaker receives a lot of damage. It is necessary to repair the speakers and replenish their weapons, all this costs money and reduces your profit. If the mission is not completed, then you still need to repair the speakers, so do not forget to save before starting a new task. If you cannot win the battle, then your speaker will turn into a pile of metal. If you need to urgently make money and you are not afraid to take risks, then use the "Arena" mode. Here you have to fight with 49 warriors to become the best, you start from the 50th place and you can fight with anyone you want. However, we advise you to start your journey from the bottom of the standings, as first the speakers from the top of it will be too strong for you. When playing in the Arena in two-player mode, you can choose the game space in which the battle will take place. The game has many such spaces built in, and, depending on the configuration of your speakers, you may have advantages in a particular space. The split screen mode with two players looks adds interest to the game. Destroy the opponent! How fun to play together! The game is dynamic and exciting!
AS offers players many options, good playability and a sufficient number of tasks. Passing the game in Arena mode takes a lot of time, you will have many opponents with whom you have to fight.
