The strange story relates Goemon's quest to stop the bad Bismaru, who stole the resurrection machine from the Wise Man. Goemon and his friends must travel through five worlds to fight the Dochuki, prince of the underworld, come back from the dead and destroy the machine. Each world is designed with Japanese styles and themes, and Mystical Ninja 2 starring Goemon continues the tradition of the series with eccentric and surreal humor.
