The game is a horizontal scrolling brawler, similar to the 1996 Guardian Heroes, although compared to the SEGA title, Panzer Bandit has only two levels of movement. The gameplay of the game is relatively simple with only two buttons for attacks and directional keys to move the character.
The game consists of eight levels in total to complete and includes a total of twelve characters, including the four selectable and the eight unlockable final bosses once the game is completed.
